학생들의 안녕을 우려하는 우리는 학생인권조례 폐지에 반대합니다. 이 조례는 모두에게 안전하고 편안한 교실을 만드는 데에 큰 역할을 해 왔습니다. 이를 폐지하는 것은 학생들에게 스트레스를 주고, 그들이 학업에 집중할 수 없도록 할 것이며, 학생들을 분열시킬 것입니다. 우리는 공직자들이 교육에 정치적 잣대를 들이대지 말고 학교가 모든 학생들에게 긍정적이고 안정적인 교육환경을 제공할 것을 요구합니다

*Statement from the KGLU Seoul HQ Native English Teachers' Branch Opposing Repeal of Student Human Rights Ordinance*

As teachers concerned with our students’ well-being, we oppose the repeal of the Student Human Rights Ordinance. This ordinance helps ensure safe and welcoming classrooms for all. Repealing it could distress students, distract them from their studies, and divide them from their classmates. We urge authorities not to play politics with education and to allow schools to maintain a positive and focused learning environment for all students.
